Director of Missions
Rev. John S. Hamm has enjoyed the privilege of serving as Director of Missions since 2007. He grew up in a christian home in Marion, VA and trusted Christ as his Savior at the age of 7. John is a graduate of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Over a 27 year period, he served as pastor of three Southern Baptist congregations in VA and NC. He strongly believes in the effectiveness of cooperative ministry. His wife Susan, a native Bristol, VA, is a faithful partner in ministry. She was also a kindergarten teacher and church musician for 35 years.

He also served as an adjunct instructor at the Carolina College of Biblical Studies in Fayetteville, NC from 2002-2007 where he taught Pastoral Ministry and Church Leadership. He has served on the Baptist State Convention of NC Board of Directors.

John's ministry strengths are in the areas of Church Health and Church Revitalization. He has a passion for helping churches to be Kingdom-minded by developing an outward ministry focus that impacts the local community and the world. He assists pastors and congregations through consulting, training, mentoring, and counseling.
