Compassion Café Ministry
Compassion Café is a ministry supported by approximately 7 churches in the area. Volunteers at these churches create teams who prepare a meal once a month to serve at the café. We serve at our bus garage on the corner of Hillard St and Church St behind the church. The purpose of this ministry is not only to feed the body of those in need but to feed the souls by offering fellowship and daily devotions. This is a wonderful outreach ministry to our community and also high

"NC Baptists On Mission Region 2 Rally was at Oakdale in February. We started with a meal and then moved into the program for the evening. We had a time of worship, testimony, mission videos, some interesting presentations and speakers, and most importantly, a time of prayer. Lifting up those who are serving currently, those preparing to serve and those who will serve in the future. All in all, the emphasis on serving as Jesus did and commanded us to do was presented. Baptist On Mission Men's Leadership Training
“I really enjoyed the Men’s leadership training and we have our first fellowship meeting with the men and young men of our church in just a week. To make disciples of men, they need to be connected to the ministry. The leadership training simply helps us to move forward in planning and creating the team we need to get started. A lot of wonderful ideas were shared at the meeting, leaving nothing to ponder. Just do it. We as a church are excited about the new disciples on the h

Trusting God in Times of Adversity
Psalm 13 The prophet Samuel was led of God to declare David, a teenage shepherd boy, to be the next King of Israel. However, this only initiated 11 years of hardships, trials, and challenges which God used to prepare David to be a King and “a man after God’s own heart.” In Psalm
