Almost 50% of NRBA Churches participated in the North Carolina Missions Offering in 2020 ranking our association as #9 in the state in contributions. Leading the way in our association in supporting this offering last year were Sunset Avenue, Calvary - Roanoke Rapids, and West Edgecombe. Most of the NCMO contributions support the 19 ministries of Baptists on Mission. Best known for Disaster Relief Ministry, BOM, has organized church teams to rebuild 1600 homes in Eastern NC after Hurricane Florence since 2019 with 200 requests still to fill. In the past year, churches in our association were part of a major food distribution effort in which BOM partnered with the federal government to distribute 1 million USDA Farmers to Families Food boxes into the hands of people in need in NC.
