Rosemary Baptist Church in Roanoke Rapids hosted the NC Baptist Mission Rally for Region 2 on February 20, 2023. It was a great honor for the North Roanoke Baptist Association to be the hosting association. The State Convention hosts two Mission Rallies - one in February and the other in September for the 10 regions of the State.
We had a great turnout for our association. Bruce May from Good News handled the meal. We had two people from our association to speak. One was Jon Mills, Handyman/Disaster Relief Coordinator who gave a testimony, and Libby Cabiness from Englewood who talked about missions in Moldova. The other speakers were Layne Wallace of Rosemary, Teresa Jones from the State Convention spoke on Missions, Tom Etheridge, Regional Director, and Jim Hendrix spoke on missions in Armenia. Jay Baugham spoke on Rebuilding and Teresa Jones talked about the Mission Offering as well as the convention’s dental and medical buses. The worship leader was Debbie Blackwelder from Rosemary. Special thanks to Scott Aman who helped coordinate the event at Rosemary.
John Hamm, Director of Mission, and his wife Susan were in attendance. NRBA churches as well as churches from other areas made up the attendance for the event. Thanks to all who attended this event. Remember to be “On Mission Together.”
