The worship of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was on full display this past December as the first ever Roanoke Valley Community Christmas Choir concert was held at First Baptist Church in Roanoke Rapids. Members from First Baptist, Roanoke Salem, Roanoke Family, and Halifax Baptist formed a choir consisting of about 35 singers. This group of dedicated worshipers began practice for the performance in early November meeting at Roanoke Family Community Church and First Baptist each week leading up to Christmas.
The performance was spectacular as God answered the prayers and fasting of choir members by filling the sanctuary to overflowing. That night peoples hearts were touched and blessed as the Spirit moved to bring praise that united Christians from various backgrounds and ethnicities in a time of pure worship. The event was such a success that the community choir will perform again on Easter Sunday evening at First Baptist Church Roanoke Rapids at 5 PM. On behalf of the Roanoke Valley Community Choir we would like to thank everyone who came out in support of this great event and would like to extend an invitation for you to join us this Easter in celebration of our Lord's resurrection!
