Our association Senior Adult Ministry planned a unique opportunity that will assist church Sr. Adult Leaders to plan programs for church senior adult gatherings. Sr. Adult Leaders met at the association office for lunch and an introduction to the practical information available to Seniors from the North Carolina Baptist Aging Ministry. NCBAM, (www.ncbam.org), is part of the ministry of the Baptist Children’s Homes of North Carolina. NCBAM has received national recognition and many awards for the impact it is having in the lives of seniors in our churches and local communities across North Carolina.
Rev. Matt Martin, NCBAM Northeast Regional Director, mmartin@bchfamily.org, shared a sample of the helpful information available for church senior adult groups. Your group can plan a meeting and choose from 40 different topics that Matt is available to share to encourage, support, and meet practical needs for your senior church members. He can also share a variety of ministry ideas for ministry to seniors. These topics would also be practical for gatherings when you could invite friends, neighbors, and sister churches to join with you for a special event.
