Circle Cross Cowboy Church

The Circle Cross Cowboy Church building is located on Bullock School Road in Edgecombe County. The church meets weekly for Worship Services on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm since organizing over 2 years ago. The church seeks to care for people from all lifestyles, but relate particularly to the unchurched who would identify with the “cowboy culture.” New believers are baptized in a horse trough. Circle Cross often ministers to those who would not be comfortable as part of a traditional congregation. This growing church plant has provided VBS with a Cowboy theme; monthly Christian Movie Nights for the community; services during regional events such as Mule Days in Benson; Trail Rides; and similar Cowboy activities.

The pastor, Rev. Alfred Tyson, grew up in Sunset Avenue Church. He and his wife Donna have been active in Cowboys for Christ for many years and the ministry of the Stoney Creek Cowboy Church in Nashville. He has long been involved in a Cowboy evangelism ministry and established many relationships through the Cowboy Church Network affiliated with the North American Mission Board.
