Tabernacle Church ministers Robert Farmer, Beatrice Battle, and Bertha Smith have each completed the 2 yr. Christian Leadership training offered through Fruitland at The Impact Center. Each have expressed how the information taught has been instrumental in strengthening their mission work through the nursing home ministry at Word Tabernacle Church. The nursing home ministry aims to keep nursing and rehabilitation residents connected to spiritual and social development and engagement. Farmer, Battle, and Smith, each lead teams at different facilities that hosts monthly services which include praise and worship, prayer, communion, and Biblical teaching. In 2019 they celebrated 22 individuals who received salvation and were baptized. They also have personal conversations and offer personal prayer in rooms for those who prefer small group settings.
